Looking northeast from Jewish Quarter. Western Wall Plaza in foreground and right. Golden Dome is Dome of the Rock. Tower just to left of Dome is part of the Ashrafiyya Madrasa. Just NE of that tower, but out of sight is the Sabil of Qaitbay - features the only carved dome outside of Cairo. Entrance to Western Wall Tunnel is in left-center foreground. Distant low hill just to the right of center is Mount Scopus, location of Augusta Victoria Hospital (Lutheran supported)

Packing, CNN, Super Bowl


Our HL11 group is busy packing, trying to fit everything into a 22", worried about people seeing us in just 2 or 3 outfits, listening to CNN playing in the background, and anticipating watching the Super Bowl on Sunday evening at JFK. Amman, here we come! Looking forward to Petra and Jerash on our first two days in Jordan.

    My compliments on getting everything into a 22. Hi didn't quite make it even tho everything seemed necessary and he still only has 3 outfits. I am so grateful to be able to keep up with the trip. THANK YOU! Sending good wishes and prayers, Becky Y
