Just NE of that tower, but out of sight is the Sabil of Qaitbay - features the only carved dome outside of Cairo. Entrance to Western Wall Tunnel is in left-center foreground. Distant low hill just to the right of center is Mount Scopus, location of Augusta Victoria Hospital (Lutheran supported)

Amman Day Two AM



Our Hotel in Amman. We are staying here two nights. Last night the lights went out in all the guest rooms about 9:30 PM for about 5 minutes. Guess we're not in Kansas any more!


Street scene in front of our hotel. Rainy and a cool day ahead. Our guide tells us it is warmer and dryer in Petra. Let's hope he is correct.
