Looking northeast from Jewish Quarter. Western Wall Plaza in foreground and right. Golden Dome is Dome of the Rock. Tower just to left of Dome is part of the Ashrafiyya Madrasa. Just NE of that tower, but out of sight is the Sabil of Qaitbay - features the only carved dome outside of Cairo. Entrance to Western Wall Tunnel is in left-center foreground. Distant low hill just to the right of center is Mount Scopus, location of Augusta Victoria Hospital (Lutheran supported)

Arrive in Jordan

Arrived in Amman about 4 PM. One hour earlier than scheduled. Took a while to organize since there were 3 other EO groups on the same flight.



This is most of our group's luggage at the Amman airport. As you can see, it had been raining slightly.


The trip to the airport was during rush hour so the traffic was heavy.


Dinner was a nice buffet with numerous dishes to try. The bread table was fabulous....
